The Seascape Rooms
The Seascape rooms consist of three large rooms on the first floor of the Old Rectory. They are within the main house and are not a separate unit, but open off a large galleried landing which is used in common with the resident family. We have found that overlap is minimal and has not been any problem to us, or the guests. The rooms themselves are for the exclusive use of the guests. Entrance is by an external wrought iron stair case. At the top of the stairs is a large balcony with table and chairs where breakfast or tea can be taken whilst enjoying the outstanding views along the coast.
This leads into the kitchen, which is well equipped with a full-sized oven, ceramic four ring hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. A small dining table and chairs will seat three people, and a high chair is available.
The sitting room and the bedroom both face west overlooking the garden and the coast beyond. Being at the back of the house these rooms are very peaceful and quiet. The sitting room is comfortably furnished in keeping with the period of the house and, as well as having central heating radiators, has a newly fitted log burning stove for the cooler evenings.
The bedroom has a king size bed and a single bed and a cot is available on request. There is a spacious en-suite shower room. All these rooms are for the exclusive use of our Seascape guests.
There is no extra charge for hot water or heating. Central heating is provided in all rooms and free logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Bed linen and towels are also provided free of charge, though guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. There is ample off-road parking close to your own entrance. Guests are most welcome to make full use of the garden where they may enjoy playing short tennis or croquet, eating al fresco or just unwinding with a glass of wine on a warm summer evening.
